Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage is a type of therapeutic massage that is specifically designed for pregnant women. The massage is tailored to the expectant mother’s needs, taking into account her stage of pregnancy and any specific issues or concerns she may have.

During pregnancy, the body undergoes many changes, including increased weight and shifting center of gravity, leading to pain and discomfort in the back, neck, shoulders, and hips. A pregnancy massage can help alleviate these symptoms by promoting relaxation and reducing muscle tension.

It can also help reduce stress and anxiety, which is beneficial for the mother and the baby.

The massage is usually done with the woman lying on her side and using comfortable cushions and pillows to support the mother’s body. The therapist will use gentle strokes and techniques specifically designed for pregnant women, such as Swedish massage, which can reduce stress, improve circulation and promote relaxation.

It is important to note that not all women can have massage during pregnancy, so it’s best to consult your physician before a pregnancy massage.
