Cupping Massage

Cupping Massage

Cupping massage is a therapy that uses small glass cups or silicone suction cups placed on the skin to create suction. The suction created by the cups helps lift the skin and underlying tissue, increasing blood flow and promoting healing. Cupping massage is thought to release muscle tension and stimulate the nervous system. The suction created by the cups can also help to break up adhesions and scar tissue in the muscles and connective tissue, which can help to reduce pain and increase range of motion.

There are different cupping massage techniques, such as stationary cupping and gliding cupping. Stationary cupping is when the cups are left in one place for several minutes, while gliding cupping is when the cups are moved over the skin in a sliding motion.

Cupping is a traditional Chinese medicine technique but is also commonly used in other cultures such as Middle Eastern and Mediterranean. It can treat various conditions, such as muscle pain, back pain, and respiratory problems.
